I am a counseling practicum student at Liberty University, under the supervision of Brenda Lopez, LPC-S, RPT-S, Director of Fort Bend Christian Counseling Center. I am pursuing a Master of Science in Counseling (expected 2027) and hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Phoenix (2014). My clinical training focuses on active listening, empathy, and evidence-based frameworks such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I strive to provide a non-judgmental, trusting environment and collaborate with clients to identify strengths and actionable steps while considering their unique backgrounds, values, and life experiences. I believe growth happens when people feel truly heard and understood, and I am honored to walk alongside clients as they build self-awareness and healing.

My experience includes more than 30 years working with victims of crime in crisis, serving as an expert witness in domestic violence, and 23 years as a police officer in Harris and Fort Bend Counties. I have served as Board Chair of Mental Health America, worked with youth in the Core Program at Fort Bend Juvenile Detention, served as President of Fort Bend County CVRT, and currently serve as a Board Member of Expose Excellence Youth Program. I am a member of the American Counseling Association and Texas Counseling Association. Outside of my studies, I enjoy painting, running, and spending time with family and friends.
