In my approach, professional therapeutic services are combined with Christian values. I believe it is important for a person coming into counseling feel accepted and understood as they seek support, comfort and healing. When working with children, I use play as a means to help them overcome areas that may be causing anxiety, depression or other emotional disturbances. I also work with their families to address behavioral concerns both at home and school.
I received my bachelor's degree in psychology from Texas A&M University and my master's of arts in psychology from Houston Baptist University. I have experience working with children and adults struggling with many issues such as physical, emotional, sexual abuse as well as those who have experienced domestic violence.
I provide both individual and group supervision for LPC interns. Individual rates are @ $85/hour and group rates are $60/hour. If you are interested in supervision, you may email me at the link below or call the office number and leave a message so that we may set up a meeting to discuss it further.Schedule an Appointment with Brenda LPC Supervision
My approach to counseling is person-centered and is also based on the belief that people have, within themselves, the capacity to change. I have experience in working with those that have experienced abuse and trauma. However, I also work with children, individuals and families struggling with a variety of issues. When working with children, I use play during therapy to address even the most difficult circumstances.
I graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor's in Psychology, minoring in Human Development and Family Studies. I went on to complete my Master's in Education at the University of Houston Victoria under the Counseling program.Schedule an Appointment with Cynthia
